Job Description
The Director of Sales will lead the development and execution of sales strategies for Nevados' solar tracking solutions across distributed generation and utility-scale markets, building relationships with key stakeholders, driving revenue growth, and supporting the company's market expansion in the solar industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for distributed generation and utility-scale solar markets
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key customers and partners, including developers, EPCs, IPPs, and asset owners
- Guide customers through technical and commercial project considerations to ensure project advancement from early engagement to delivery
- Identify and drive high-impact revenue opportunities within target markets
- Refine and contribute to the company's go-to-market strategy
- Mentor and develop sales team members
- Represent the company externally as a thought leader in solar power plant innovation
Requirements
- Deep expertise in solar project development and construction
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel at least 10-20% of the time for company off-sites, conferences, trade shows, site visits, and other potential events
- Experience in leading sales strategy, development, and execution in the solar energy market, specifically across Distributed Generation (DG) and Utility Scale solar markets
- Ability to cultivate executive-level relationships and guide customers through complex technical and commercial considerations
- Experience operating across a diverse customer base including developers, EPCs, IPPs, and asset owners
- Proven track record of driving high-impact revenue opportunities and expanding presence with key customers and partners
- Ability to mentor and develop sales talent
- Strong communication skills to represent the company externally as a thought leader in solar power plant innovation
