Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy and operations of Nevados, a renewable energy company specializing in solar tracking technology, working closely with various teams to support company growth and financial alignment across projects and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the company's financial strategy and organization.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes.
- Manage investor relations and communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure financial alignment.
- Drive long-term cost optimization and financial planning for product manufacturing and project delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in leading a financial organization and guiding a company through growth phases in the solar tracker industry or similar capex-intensive industries such as construction EPC or hardware manufacturing.
- Ability to shape company-wide financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
- Experience in investor relations and providing clear leadership across financial functions.
- Ability to partner closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, field deployment, and commercial teams to ensure financial alignment across product manufacturing, project delivery, and long-term cost optimization.
- Willingness to travel at least 10-20% of the time for company off-sites, conferences, trade shows, site visits, and other events as needed.
- Preference for candidates able to be in the Oakland office as needed, with experience in or knowledge of the SF Bay Area (not mandatory).
