Job Description
This role involves providing expert advice and support to professional and retail customers in a landscape supply store, assisting with material selections, project planning, and sales, while ensuring excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a product expert to guide customers through material selections, project planning, and design decisions
- Drive sales through expert consultation and build lasting relationships with professional clients
- Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email to support daily store operations
- Learn about landscaping materials such as soil, rock, mulch, hardscape installation, and irrigation supplies
- Communicate product knowledge clearly to support customer purchasing decisions
Requirements
- Experience as a Product Specialist with industry knowledge related to landscaping materials, project planning, and design decisions
- Ability to serve as a trusted advisor drawing on deep product knowledge to guide customers through complex material selections
- Experience supporting daily store operations and driving sales through expert consultation
- Strong communication skills to assist customers in person, over the phone, and through email
- Attention to detail and professionalism in customer interactions
- Ability to learn about landscaping materials such as soil, rock, mulch, hardscape installation, and irrigation supplies
- Ability to clearly communicate information about landscaping materials to support customer purchasing decisions
- Demonstrated organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment
