Job Description
The Vice President of IT at Metergy Solutions is responsible for leading the company's technology operations, including system delivery, modernization, automation, infrastructure management, and ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of IT services to support business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the North America Technology Team and oversee core systems, architecture, and daily technology operations.
- Manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure to ensure stability, security, and sustainability.
- Drive modernization, automation, and standardization of technologies and adopt industry-leading tools and platforms.
- Build and lead the automation team to improve time-to-market for IT services.
- Ensure service levels across all IT-supported areas, including desktop support and critical business functions.
Requirements
- Experience leading and managing a technology team responsible for the delivery and operations of core systems, architecture, and day-to-day technology operations in a growth-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to modernize, automate, and standardize technologies, ensuring the organization adopts and leverages the latest industry-leading tools and platforms.
- Experience managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure to ensure the stability, security, and sustainability of technology systems.
- Ability to build and lead an automation team to improve time to market for IT service delivery.
- Experience managing service levels across all IT-supported areas, including desktop support and other critical elements of the business that depend on consistent and reliable IT service delivery.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security and sustainability practices.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing technology investments to gain economies of scale and efficiencies.
- Experience in supporting or leading initiatives related to infrastructure modernization and automation.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies for technology evolution to support business growth and operational stability.
- Experience in managing or supporting enterprise-level IT operations in a company with significant utility or metering infrastructure is preferred but not explicitly required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to lead a cross-functional technology team and collaborate with executive leadership.
- A minimum of several years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, such as CTO, VP of IT, or equivalent.
- Relevant educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields (specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but implied).
