Job Description
A Sales Manager responsible for developing and closing new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and achieving sales targets for advanced submetering systems used in commercial and multi-residential buildings across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and close new business opportunities within a defined region or customer segment
- Expand existing customer accounts
- Meet annual sales targets
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and closing new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and meeting annual sales targets within a defined geographic region or customer segment.
- Technical proficiency related to advanced, revenue-grade electrical submetering systems used for tenant billing, energy management, and measurement verification.
- Experience in selling or promoting multi-point submeters and meter-data management software used for commercial, multi-residential, and institutional buildings across North America.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with building owners and occupants to provide utility consumption data solutions.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical product features and benefits to clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing a sales pipeline, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales.
- Knowledge of the utility metering industry, including understanding of electricity, water, gas, and thermal energy measurement and billing processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a technical or industrial environment, preferably related to energy management, metering, or building automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies within a specific geographic region or customer segment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
- Self-motivated with a driven attitude to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to travel within the assigned geographic region as required for client meetings and sales activities.
