Job Description
A Contracts Manager responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing a high volume of commercial agreements across North America, working closely with legal and business teams to ensure efficient contract processes and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, redline, negotiate, and close a high volume of commercial agreements across Canada and the United States.
- Improve speed to signature while protecting Metergy's risk position and standard terms.
- Collaborate closely with the Legal team and cross-functional business units including Sales, Sales Enablement, and Operations.
Requirements
- A skilled contracts professional with experience as a contracts manager or working within a legal department, demonstrating a deep understanding of contracts, legal processes and workflows, and technology-enabled solutions.
- Ability to draft, redline, negotiate, and close a high volume of agreements across Canada and the United States.
- Experience in improving speed to signature while protecting the company's risk position and standard terms.
- Experience working closely with legal teams and cross-functional business units including Sales, Sales Enablement, and Operations.
- Legal expertise necessary to protect the company's interests in commercial contracting.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, sales-focused legal environment.
- Experience with legal workflows and processes related to contract management.
- Understanding of legal, technical, and operational aspects relevant to contracts in a business context.
