Job Description
The Senior Edge Compute Software Engineer will develop, optimize, and integrate software for embedded edge computing platforms, primarily focusing on NVIDIA Orin systems, to enhance onboard space mission capabilities and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and optimize Loft's Ultimate Edge SDK for embedded platforms.
- Integrate ONNX inference runtimes and image-processing frameworks into the SDK.
- Configure and optimize GPU-accelerated and heterogeneous runtime environments.
- Profile, benchmark, and perform performance tuning across embedded platforms.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth deployment of edge applications.
- Support continuous improvement of the onboard compute stack through testing, documentation, and validation.
Requirements
- Experience in integrating ONNX-based inference runtimes and image-processing frameworks such as ONNX Runtime and OpenCV into software development projects.
- Ability to configure and optimize GPU-accelerated and heterogeneous runtime environments to ensure efficient use of available resources.
- Proficiency in profiling, benchmarking, and performance tuning across multiple embedded platforms.
- Experience with developing, integrating, and optimizing software for NVIDIA Orin based systems.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware targets beyond NVIDIA Orin, with the ability to assess portability and performance on additional hardware targets.
- Ability to contribute to structured testing, documentation, and validation processes to support continuous improvement of onboard compute stacks.
- Educational background or professional experience in software engineering, computer engineering, or related fields relevant to embedded systems and GPU computing.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment of edge applications.
- Ability to contribute to flight software robustness, system performance, and onboard computing capabilities for space missions.
