A Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for maintaining and scaling Loft Orbital's ground segment infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and integration of services that support space operations on Earth and in orbit, with a focus on applying DevOps principles to spacecraft control.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and scale ground segment infrastructure for space operations
Collaborate across development, operations, and IT teams to ensure service integration, delivery, and reliability
Apply DevOps principles to spacecraft control and space infrastructure
Support the operation and management of satellites and customer payloads
Requirements
Experience in maintaining and scaling cloud infrastructure, specifically related to ground segment infrastructure for space operations.
Ability to collaborate across development, operations, and IT teams to ensure the integration, delivery, and reliability of services supporting space operations on Earth and in orbit.
Knowledge and application of DevOps principles, including automation and modern infrastructure management, applied to spacecraft control (SatDevOps).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate as a problem solver and a great communicator.
Proficiency in English to effectively collaborate, communicate complex ideas, and convey important messages in an international team environment.
