Job Description
A Customer Delivery Engineer at Loft is responsible for the end-to-end deployment and operation of customer satellite missions, serving as the primary technical interface, translating mission objectives into operational workflows, and ensuring reliable on-orbit execution through collaboration across satellite operations, engineering, and software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end deployment and execution of customer satellite missions.
- Serve as the primary technical interface to customers and translate mission objectives into operational workflows.
- Operate real spacecraft and build mission applications on Loft's API and infrastructure.
- Translate mission objectives into executable workflows, configurations, and tooling for reliable on-orbit execution.
- Collaborate across satellite operations, customer engineering, software development, systems engineering, and program execution to deliver mission outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience operating real spacecraft and working directly with customers to build mission applications on top of Loft's API and operational infrastructure.
- Ability to translate mission objectives into executable workflows, configurations, and tooling that ensure reliable, scalable on-orbit execution.
- Experience owning the end-to-end deployment and execution of customer satellite missions.
- Strong technical interface skills to serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding satellite missions.
- Experience in early requirements and Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, commissioning, on-orbit operations, and continuous improvement of satellite missions.
- Ability to work at the intersection of satellite operations, customer engineering, software development, systems engineering, and program execution.
- Proficiency in translating mission objectives into operational procedures and configurations.
- Ability to operate in a multidisciplinary environment involving satellite operations, customer engineering, software development, systems engineering, and program management.
- Willingness to work in an international environment, with the ability to communicate effectively across different offices and cultures.
