Job Description
The Director of Strategic Initiatives for Loft in EMEA is responsible for developing and executing transformative partnerships across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, focusing on space and Earth observation sectors to drive long-term growth, revenue, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, structure, and execute high-impact strategic partnerships across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and external partners to develop long-term, sustainable collaborations.
- Establish partnerships with space primes, government agencies, and regional programs to embed Loft's infrastructure into initiatives.
- Secure large-scale distribution agreements with satellite operators, service providers, and integrators.
- Support corporate development activities, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and investment initiatives.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the space and Earth observation value chain spanning space primes, satellite operators, and government agencies.
- Ability to identify, structure, and execute high-impact collaborations and strategic partnerships in the space sector.
- Experience working directly with senior leadership from major partners, primes, technology companies, and government stakeholders.
- Proven track record of developing and managing long-term, transformative partnerships that generate substantial near-term revenue and establish recurring, sustainable streams.
- Experience in partnering with major European and international space primes to embed infrastructure into multi-year programs and national initiatives.
- Experience structuring partnerships with ministries, space agencies, and sovereign customers to deliver capabilities aligned with long-term country strategies.
- Experience securing large-scale distribution partnerships with satellite operators, service providers, or integrators to broaden market access.
- Supporting existing joint ventures and occasionally supporting mergers and acquisitions, venture, and investment-driven initiatives in space and government-driven sectors.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex ideas and important messages clearly and effectively.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team-oriented collaborator in an international environment.
