Job Description
The Director of Space Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the reliability, scalability, and evolution of satellite and network operations, leading teams and strategies to ensure high availability and performance of space infrastructure in a fast-growing space company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the reliability, scalability, and evolution of satellite and network operations.
- Define strategy and lead execution for space infrastructure systems.
- Manage and grow teams responsible for satellite operations and infrastructure.
- Ensure infrastructure availability and meet customer mission SLAs.
- Translate operational insights into company-level strategies, automation roadmaps, and product improvements.
Requirements
- Full ownership of Space Infrastructure across the growing fleet, including responsibility for reliability, scalability, and long-term evolution of satellite and network operations.
- Define strategy, lead execution, and grow the teams and systems that keep satellites operating at scale.
- Full accountability for infrastructure availability and customer mission SLAs.
- Translate operational insight into company-level strategy, automation roadmaps, and product improvements.
- Experience owning complex, distributed systems in a fast-scaling space environment.
- Experience leading teams through high-stakes decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage and improve satellite and network operations at scale.
