Job Description
The Director of Business Development in Germany will lead customer acquisition and strategic partnerships to support Loft's European growth in the space and defense sectors, leveraging industry expertise to shape new space infrastructure models.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive customer acquisition within the German space and defense ecosystem.
- Establish and develop strategic partnerships with government agencies, defense primes, and commercial space players in Germany.
- Shape and promote new space infrastructure models aligned with European growth strategy.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the German space and defense landscape with experience or knowledge relevant to the German ecosystem including government agencies such as the BND DLR, defense primes, and commercial space players.
- Proven experience in business development, customer acquisition, and establishing strategic partnerships, preferably within the space or defense sectors.
- Strong communication skills in English, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and effectively to an international team and external stakeholders.
- Ability to operate autonomously and take ownership of responsibilities in a high-impact role.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to address significant challenges in the space infrastructure and business development context.
- Experience or familiarity with the deployment of missions in orbit, satellite technology, or related space infrastructure models is desirable but not explicitly mandatory.
- Educational background or professional experience relevant to business development, space industry, or defense sectors (specific degree requirements are not specified).
