Job Description

A Public Relations Account Manager responsible for leading multiple client accounts, developing strategic communication programs, guiding team efforts, and delivering results for innovative startups and technology companies in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple client accounts across various verticals, providing strategic guidance and day-to-day direction to account teams.
  • Plan, prioritize, and oversee the execution of public relations programs for startup and mid-stage technology companies.
  • Contribute to client recommendations, make strategic work decisions, and take responsibility for challenging or innovative program goals.
  • Coach and mentor team members, establishing work standards and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Work directly with senior team members on agency activities such as talent coaching and pitching new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have direct public relations experience capable of leading four accounts across a variety of B2B or B2C technology sectors.
  • Candidates must have experience planning, prioritizing, and leading across four or more teams in emerging and expanding verticals including transportation logistics, enterprise software, AI, and finance.
  • Candidates must have experience guiding the day-to-day direction of account teams, providing recommendations to clients, and making strategic work decisions.
  • Candidates must have experience actively contributing to the work, often taking responsibility for the most challenging or innovative program goals.
  • Candidates must be skilled teachers and coaches, establishing consistent guidelines for work standards and expectations at both individual and team levels.
  • Candidates must have an eye for quality work and lead by example to deliver program results to clients.
  • Candidates must work directly with senior team members on agency activities such as teaching, coaching talent, and pitching new work on new or existing accounts.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of some level of professional experience in public relations or communications, as implied by the requirement for direct PR experience.
