Job Description

The Technical Account Manager will build and maintain strategic technical relationships with energy and utility clients, providing expert guidance on system design, integration, and performance to ensure customer success and drive value realization in a sustainable energy technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strategic technical relationships with senior stakeholders in client organizations.
  • Provide architectural guidance to connect customer ecosystems with Kraken's platform, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Manage technical incidents, troubleshoot issues, and support clients in configuration and usage decisions.
  • Facilitate product rollouts, upgrades, and changes while minimizing disruption.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within client accounts through proactive strategies.
  • Gather client feedback to influence product development and roadmap decisions.

Requirements

  • Experience in building and maintaining strategic technical relationships with senior stakeholders such as CIOs and CTOs in utility and energy sectors.
  • Ability to act as a trusted technical advisor and confidant to senior clients, translating technical vision into outcomes aligned with executive priorities.
  • Proven experience in providing deep architectural guidance to connect customer ecosystems with platform solutions, including system design, integrations, and configuration aligned with architectural principles.
  • Experience in driving solution design that ensures scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability of technical systems.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to unlock additional value through feature adoption, platform capabilities, and ecosystem fit.
  • Experience in providing regular reports and updates on project status, performance metrics, and potential improvements.
  • Experience facilitating product rollouts, upgrades, and configuration changes for clients, managing change effectively and minimizing disruption.
  • Ability to identify risks within client accounts and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Hands-on technical expertise to triage and manage technical incidents in partnership with support and engineering teams.
  • Experience guiding configuration and usage decisions to ensure best practices and optimal performance.
  • Proficiency in providing hands-on support, troubleshooting, and technical insight to quickly resolve client issues.
  • Experience managing co-development efforts and joint technical initiatives to address complex issues and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ability to align product and customer roadmaps, advocate for customer needs internally, and provide feedback to product and engineering teams.
  • Experience gathering client feedback to influence product roadmap decisions.
  • Strong communication skills to serve as a primary technical liaison and participate in roadmap discussions, executive briefings, and planning sessions.
  • Educational background or experience demonstrating technical expertise relevant to energy systems, platform architecture, or related fields (specific degree requirements not explicitly stated but implied).
