Job Description
The Software Engineer will develop and maintain high-quality software for a sustainable energy platform, collaborating with a global team to create impactful solutions that support renewable energy and fight climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain high-quality, clean software code in collaboration with a global team.
- Ensure appropriate technology choices and contribute to the design of scalable applications.
- Participate in building applications that have a significant global impact.
- Onboard new team members and ensure proper documentation and clean code standards.
- Contribute to creating a positive developer experience and maintain high development standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development with a focus on clean software design and choice of appropriate technologies.
- Ability to participate in building an application to very high standards that is designed for global impact.
- Experience in onboarding new team members, ensuring good documentation, and maintaining clean code.
- Strong collaboration skills to work closely with highly experienced peers as part of a global team.
- Demonstrated commitment to building a great developer experience.
- Experience working in a multi-discipline engineering environment including server-side, client-side, and mobile engineering.
- Familiarity with using tools such as Notion and Asana to specify and manage work.
- Experience with continuous delivery pipelines using Github, CircleCI, and Terraform Enterprise.
- Ability to measure performance and monitor production using tools such as Datadog, Sentry, and Cloudwatch.
- Experience with open-source coding conventions (at least some familiarity or contribution).
- Ability to work in a team that often opts for a Kanban-like approach to work management.
- Proficiency in coding, with a strong enthusiasm for coding a lot and collaborating closely with peers.
- Ability to ensure software is designed for high standards and global impact.
- Commitment to contributing to a positive developer experience and good documentation practices.
- Willingness to work for a company focused on fighting climate change and promoting renewable energy.
- Legal authorization to work in the relevant country (implied, as the role is with a global company).
