Job Description
The role involves developing and maintaining backend systems using Python and Django to support innovative energy solutions, focusing on creating a sustainable and intelligent energy grid. The position offers opportunities to work with cloud technologies, continuous deployment, and a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django
- Implement APIs using Django REST framework and GraphQL
- Contribute to continuous deployment pipelines on AWS
- Monitor and measure application performance using Sentry and Cloudwatch
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python programming language, with experience in server-side development.
- Experience working with Django framework for web development.
- Experience using Django-REST-framework for building RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with GraphQL, specifically Graphene.
- Familiarity with AWS services and heavy usage of AWS as part of a continuous deployment pipeline.
- Ability to work within a team following a Kanban-like approach, using tools such as Google Docs and Asana for work management.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, including tools like Github and CircleCI.
- Experience with performance measurement and monitoring tools such as Sentry and Cloudwatch.
- Understanding of server health checks, specifically ELB health checks in AWS.
- Ability to work in an environment that emphasizes immutable infrastructure and continuous deployment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, UX experts, copywriters, and designers.
