Job Description
The Senior Mid Software Engineer at Kraken is responsible for shaping the technical direction of new energy-related products, utilizing modern technologies to develop impactful solutions that promote a sustainable energy future within a collaborative, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of a new product group within Kraken
- Apply modern technologies to develop impactful projects in the energy sector
- Contribute to building and maintaining scalable server-side systems using Python, Django, and GraphQL
- Implement continuous deployment and infrastructure automation using tools like Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and CircleCI
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, UX experts, and designers to deliver solutions
- Ensure performance and stability of production systems through monitoring and measurement tools
Requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on server-side development using Python, Django, Django-REST-framework, and GraphQL Graphene.
- Experience working with Kubernetes and AWS for deploying and managing applications.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using tools such as Github, CircleCI, ArgoCD, and Spacelift.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and stable software systems in a production environment.
- Ability to contribute to shaping the technical direction of a new product group within Kraken.
- Strong understanding of modern technologies applied to energy sector projects, especially in renewable energy and smart grid systems.
- Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment including server-side, client-side, and mobile engineers.
- Excellent communication skills to work closely with UX experts, copywriters, and designers.
- Ability to work on challenging and impactful projects from the ground up, contributing to a sustainable energy future.
