Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer at Kraken will develop and enhance an AI-driven platform for energy management, focusing on creating innovative solutions to optimize renewable energy, improve the energy grid, and deliver exceptional customer experiences in the sustainable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AI-driven platforms for energy management
- Optimize renewable energy generation and create intelligent grid solutions
- Implement and improve Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, CRM, and AI-driven communication tools
- Contribute to innovative energy industry solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or in a similar senior software development role with a strong track record of delivering complex software solutions.
- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining software applications, with a focus on energy management systems, customer information systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, CRM, and AI-driven communications.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages relevant to the role (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or similar), with demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable, reliable, and secure software systems in a cloud or enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of AI and machine learning principles and their application within energy management platforms.
- Experience working with data management, data integration, and data analysis techniques relevant to meter data and customer information systems.
- Familiarity with energy industry standards, renewable energy optimization, and smart grid technologies is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and hardware engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
