Job Description
A Senior Product Manager role focused on leading the development and management of a core workflow engine within Kraken Flow, an early-stage business process management platform, working closely with engineering teams to address technical challenges related to scale, resilience, and flexibility in a fast-growing energy technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and shape the product area within the core workflow engine team.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure product development aligns with technical challenges around scale and resilience.
- Manage the development and execution of the end-to-end business process management platform.
- Prioritize and specify product features and improvements to enhance configuration flexibility and maintainability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across different regions to ensure cohesive product delivery.
- Monitor product performance and user feedback to inform continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role with a strong understanding of product lifecycle management, preferably in a technology or energy management context.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams to develop and manage technical products, particularly in environments dealing with scale, resilience, and flexible configuration.
- Ability to shape and define a product area that has not previously operated within a traditional product structure, demonstrating strategic thinking and initiative.
- Experience working with core technical teams, such as those owning services that validate flow configurations and execute them at scale, with an understanding of highly technical challenges around scale and resilience.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of the product area, especially as the first dedicated product manager for the core workflow engine team.
- Excellent communication skills to serve as a bridge between engineering teams and other stakeholders across a globally distributed product group.
- Experience working in an agile environment using tools such as Notion, Asana, Figma, Github, CircleCI, Terraform Enterprise, Sentry, and CloudWatch.
- Ability to operate effectively in an early-stage product environment, managing ambiguity and contributing to defining product strategies and roadmaps.
- Willingness to work as the first PM in the Asia Pacific region, collaborating with international teams and understanding regional market needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address highly technical challenges related to scale, resilience, and configuration flexibility.
