Job Description
A Senior Front End Engineer responsible for developing and enhancing the user interface of Kraken's innovative energy management platform, contributing to the creation of sustainable and intelligent energy solutions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain front-end applications using modern frameworks and technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user interfaces
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Front End Engineer with a focus on senior-level responsibilities, demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain complex front-end applications.
- Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies and frameworks, specifically JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications with a focus on user experience and accessibility.
- Ability to work in the UK or in the company's London office, with consideration for remote work arrangements.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and team members.
- Demonstrated experience in developing responsive and mobile-friendly interfaces.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of best practices in front-end security, performance optimization, and code quality standards.
- Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
