Job Description
A senior backend engineer role focused on developing scalable, maintainable, and innovative digital solutions using Python and Django for a sustainability-driven energy company, involving building dashboards, integrations, and real-time performance tools to enhance customer experience and support energy industry transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python and Django.
- Build dynamic dashboards and interactive charts for campaign performance visualization.
- Integrate third-party accounts (e.g., LINE) for customer engagement and campaign sign-ups.
- Create flexible and maintainable features that enhance core product functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable digital experiences.
- Implement clean code, smart testing, and effective monitoring practices.
- Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement processes.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python programming language with experience in developing backend solutions.
- Experience working with Django framework for backend development.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable, flexible, and maintainable software solutions.
- Experience in creating dynamic dashboards and interactive charts for real-time data visualization.
- Experience integrating third-party accounts or services, such as LINE accounts, into applications.
- Ability to develop features that blend promotional content seamlessly into core product functionality.
- Experience in developing digital experiences for consumers, including customer signup journeys and campaign integrations.
- Strong understanding of clean code principles, smart testing practices, and good monitoring techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to participate in face-to-face chats, huddles, and use tools like Slack and Asana for collaboration.
- Self-motivated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to work and initiative-taking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and stay calm under pressure.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to create an inclusive environment where everyone belongs.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in software engineering, computer science, or related fields.
- Experience working on projects related to energy, sustainability, or utility systems is preferred but not explicitly required.
- Understanding of real-time data processing and performance optimization for web applications.
- Commitment to writing well-tested, high-quality code and participating in regular code reviews.
