Job Description
The Platform Engineer II is responsible for developing, deploying, securing, and maintaining shared infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support global energy technology products, ensuring stability, security, and scalability across the company's systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage shared infrastructure across global Krakens, including deployment pipelines, cloud hosting, and networking.
- Ensure infrastructure is simple to duplicate, maintain, and understand.
- Deploy, secure, and monitor products used by all teams.
- Bake stability and security into the system architecture.
- Remove infrastructural blockers to support scaling goals.
Requirements
- Experience in platform engineering or related roles with a focus on deploying, securing, and monitoring infrastructure.
- Ability to manage and maintain shared infrastructure across global environments, including deployment pipelines, cloud hosting, and networking.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing infrastructure that is simple to duplicate, maintain, and understand.
- Strong understanding of stability and security principles in architecture design.
- Experience working with cloud services and infrastructure management tools.
- Ability to work in or be located in the East Coast timezone, preferably in New York City.
