Job Description
The Lead Front End Engineer will be responsible for developing and enhancing the user interface of Kraken's innovative energy management platform, contributing to the company's mission of creating a sustainable and intelligent energy system through advanced front-end technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of front-end features and architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user interfaces and improve user experience.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in front-end development with a strong focus on leading or senior roles, demonstrating the ability to lead front-end engineering teams.
- Extensive experience with modern front-end technologies and frameworks, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Solid understanding of web development best practices, including responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
- Experience in building and maintaining scalable, high-quality front-end codebases for enterprise-level applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including back-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality features.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Understanding of security best practices in front-end development.
- Ability to work in the UK or in our London office, or remotely, with the legal right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on energy management and sustainability.
