Job Description
A hands-on Finance Manager responsible for overseeing Japanese finance operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, developing core financial processes, and providing strategic financial guidance to support Kraken's regional and global growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage Japanese finance operations
- Develop core financial processes for the Japanese market
- Ensure compliance with Japanese tax and regulatory requirements
- Provide financial reporting and strategic guidance to local and global leadership
- Support broader APAC regional financial activities
- Build and establish the finance function from the ground up in Japan
Requirements
- Robust technical finance and compliance expertise specific to the Japanese market.
- Experience developing core financial processes for a company or division.
- Ability to ensure strict compliance with Japanese tax and regulatory requirements.
- Experience providing critical financial reporting and strategic guidance to local and global leadership.
- Hands-on experience in managing finance operations in Japan or similar regulatory environment.
- Strong understanding of Japanese financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to build and establish finance functions from the ground up.
- Autonomy in managing finance activities and processes without extensive supervision.
- Experience working with or supporting regional activities across APAC or similar multi-region environments.
