Job Description
The Vice President, Controller Finance Transformation leads the company's accounting operations and systems, focusing on process optimization, automation, and financial reporting to support rapid growth and increased complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting and controllership functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Optimize and build efficient, well-controlled accounting processes, with a focus on the Workday Financial platform.
- Oversee Accounting Operations including Cash, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
- Partner with FP&A, Technology, and Product teams to embed accounting, financial reporting, and control requirements into systems and workflows.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives to enhance automation, scalability, and process efficiency.
- Shorten the monthly close and reporting cycle while improving reporting and analytical tools for finance and business leaders.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a senior accounting leader with traditional controllership functions and hands-on finance transformation delivery.
- Strong controllership fluency and ability to operate with a focus on building efficient and well-controlled accounting processes.
- Experience in overseeing Accounting Operations including Cash, Accounts Payable (A P), Accounts Receivable (A R), and General Ledger control.
- Proven ability to partner closely with FP&A, Technology, and Product Business teams to embed accounting, financial reporting, and control requirements into systems, workflows, and new product development initiatives.
- Track record of delivering timely and accurate financial reporting outcomes through leadership and collaboration.
- Experience in optimizing accounting systems, particularly with a focus on the recently implemented Workday Financial platform.
- Proven success in enhancing automation and scalability of finance processes.
- Experience in process and people optimization to improve efficiency.
- Ability to shorten the monthly close and reporting cycle.
- Experience in improving reporting and analytical tools available to finance and business executives.
- Ability to operate with strong controllership fluency and deliver accurate financial reporting.
- Experience in building scalable and automated finance processes that support rapid company growth and increasing product complexity.
