Job Description
A Commercial Solar Installer at Freedom Solar is responsible for installing solar systems ranging from 10kW to 1MW on commercial projects, primarily involving travel and teamwork, to support the company's mission of providing clean, affordable energy with a focus on quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar systems ranging from 10kW to 1MW on commercial projects
- Work as part of a crew to complete solar installations
- Travel extensively (mostly 4 weeks out) to project sites
- Perform electrical, construction, or solar-specific installation tasks
- Ensure quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards during installation
Requirements
- Experience in construction, electrical, or solar installation with the ability to join a crew of solar installers to install solar systems ranging from 10kW to 1MW.
- Ability to travel 90% of the time, mostly for 4 weeks at a time, with occasional weekend travel work required.
- Based out of Austin, TX, and willing to travel as required for the position.
