Job Description
The AVP, Senior Applications Engineer, Digital Banking is a senior technical role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions for digital banking services, while guiding architectural improvements and mentoring engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions for digital banking systems
- Set technical direction and architecture improvements for software projects
- Mentor and guide engineering team members
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing
- Ensure integration projects meet business and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions across the organization.
- Setting technical direction for software development projects.
- Mentoring engineers to improve their technical skills and performance.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
- Driving architectural improvements and championing best practices in software development.
- Ensuring that integration projects meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Possessing a minimum of 3 years of experience in applications engineering or related roles.
- Having a strong understanding of software design, development, and maintenance in a banking or financial services environment.
- Demonstrating experience with designing and developing digital banking applications or similar financial systems.
- Possessing a comprehensive understanding of security best practices for financial software solutions.
- Having experience in leading or contributing to architectural improvements in software systems.
- Possessing the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with team members and stakeholders.
- Being able to operate technology or other office machinery such as printers and scanners.
- Having visual acuity to utilize a computer monitor effectively.
- Being able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods as required during work tasks.
- Having the ability to use hands and fingers for computer and technical operations.
