Job Description
A Staff Software Engineer specializing in frontend development, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, scalable React TypeScript web applications, while guiding architecture, performance, and team standards to deliver exceptional user experiences in the renewable energy domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and ship high-quality frontend code with a focus on React and TypeScript.
- Design and drive frontend architecture to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to create intuitive and polished user interfaces.
- Guide patterns, mentor engineers, and ensure UI consistency and best practices across the product.
- Optimize end-to-end performance and reduce client complexity through API design and collaboration.
- Contribute to domain understanding of solar project development to inform feature and UI improvements.
- Set measurable goals to improve performance, user experience, and code quality.
- Conduct code reviews, pair programming, and mentorship to elevate team skills and standards.
Requirements
- 8 years building modern web apps with Javascript, React, or similar modern frontend languages.
- Experience collaborating with other engineers to design clean APIs, reduce client complexity, and optimize end-to-end performance.
- Experience building enterprise software, apps with heavy data document processing, or software with users in niche industries.
- Proficiency in frontend architecture, best practices, and systems performance at scale, with the ability to navigate tradeoffs and create or evolve team-wide standards and libraries.
- Strong product and design sensibility with a passion for crafting polished UI and the ability to translate designs into high-quality, accessible code.
- Pragmatic, data-driven, systems thinker who makes decisions based on real user behavior and values both execution and extensibility.
- Collaborative leader and mentor with experience in leveling up teams through code reviews, clear documentation, and setting high standards for UI quality.
