Job Description
The role involves developing advanced 3D geospatial mapping software components using C and other technologies, focusing on 3D data formats, rendering, and database integration, within an agile environment to deliver innovative solutions for a global user base.
Key Responsibilities
- Build C software components following industry-standard design patterns and deployment models
- Collaborate with product engineers to implement requirements and develop application architectures and APIs
- Design and develop stable software with automated test validation
- Create reusable components and libraries for internal use and open source
- Work within agile processes for rapid, iterative development
- Solve complex problems through application design, development, and user experience optimization
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing robust code and demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills using C and C++ programming languages, including STL.
- Experience with industry-standard 3D formats such as DWG, IFC, FBX, OBJ, glTF, USD, Collada, and CityGML.
- Experience with database systems such as Postgres, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and test-driven development processes.
- Experience developing software that runs in a cloud environment.
- Experience with application scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript, and web protocols and formats such as REST and JSON.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
- Strong software engineering skills and mathematical skills relevant to 3D graphics and spatial data processing.
- Ability to build C software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models.
- Ability to design and develop stable software that includes automated test validation.
- Ability to develop reusable components and libraries for internal use and open source.
- Experience working within agile processes for short cycle, fast-paced delivery.
- Ability to solve and articulate complex problems through application design, development, and user experience.
