Job Description

This role involves working closely with clients to define and implement geospatial solutions using Esri's GIS technology, supporting national mapping agencies, and managing projects related to topographic data, imagery, and cartographic workflows. The position requires technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into effective geospatial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to define geospatial solutions and oversee their implementation.
  • Lead all project phases including requirements gathering, analysis, design, configuration, and deployment.
  • Translate customer business goals into practical GIS technology solutions.
  • Recommend strategies, architectures, and solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Support national mapping activities by utilizing GIS expertise and supporting topographic data workflows.
  • Assist national authorities in modernizing imagery data management and automated cartographic workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop new business opportunities and influence product development.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk through planning and tracking.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and distributors.

Requirements

  • Eight (8) years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities.
  • Professional experience leading and managing IT-based projects.
  • Experience with National Mapping workflows including imagery photogrammetry, geospatial data production, topographic data standards including TDS and MGCP, and cartographic production.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate a customer’s business goals, objectives, and strategies into solutions.
  • Ability to gather requirements, develop project plans, estimate levels of effort, manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to both technical peers and non-technical peers or customers.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Applicants selected will be subjected to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including a Top Secret (TS) clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in geography, computer science, GIS, information systems, environmental science, natural resources, or a related STEM field.
