Job Description
This role involves leading the development and enhancement of interactive GIS data exploration tools within ArcGIS Pro, focusing on 2D, 3D, and temporal data, to help users analyze and visualize geographic information effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, testing, and maintenance of GIS data exploration tools and capabilities.
- Collaborate with users and industry experts to identify primary use-cases and workflows.
- Develop innovative exploratory tools for GIS data in 2D, 3D, and time dimensions.
- Implement test cases, validate bug fixes, and maintain automated test suites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across software versions.
- Coordinate with other teams to integrate data exploration features across the ArcGIS platform.
- Create and share workflows, tutorials, and documentation to support user adoption.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience using an application development language such as C++, Java, or C#
- 8 years of experience with software development processes
- Proven ability to lead, collaborate on, and deliver complex software capabilities
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
