Job Description
This role involves developing cross-platform mapping software components using modern C standards, focusing on applications such as field mapping, data collection, and navigation, within a collaborative team environment at Esri.
Key Responsibilities
- Build C software components following industry-standard design patterns and development methodologies
- Develop software for field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, and street navigation
- Collaborate with team members throughout the development process
- Define user requirements and design applications and APIs for devices
- Ensure ArcGIS software meets real-world usage scenarios
- Solve complex problems related to application design, development, and user experience
Requirements
- Five (5) years of commercial software development experience.
- Fluent in and passionate about modern C (C 11 and higher), STL, Boost, Clang, MSVC.
- Object oriented design skills.
- Understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
- Ability to work closely with the team to build quality software in a constantly evolving environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
