Job Description
This role involves developing and enhancing geospatial conflation tools and workflows for ArcGIS Pro, utilizing advanced algorithms and computational techniques to improve spatial data reconciliation, accuracy, and scalability within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in research, development, and enhancement of conflation tools and workflows for ArcGIS Pro
- Build and implement conflation algorithms to reconcile differences among multiple data sources
- Develop high-quality software using object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Apply pattern recognition, similarity analysis, and computational geometry techniques in conflation processes
- Research and develop strategies to improve scalability and accuracy of conflation processes
- Integrate additional data sources such as imagery, lidar, and GPS into conflation workflows
- Identify, analyze, and resolve software bugs and performance issues
- Contribute to testing and quality assurance of software products
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in C, C++, or related software development languages
- Firm understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns
- Experience with computational geometry and algorithms
- Ability to clearly analyze and describe problems, and propose solutions
- Knowledge and ability to solve complex spatial problems
- Knowledge of progressive and optimization approaches
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming patterns and parallel processing methods
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computational Science, Mathematics, or related field
