Job Description

This role involves building relationships with large government organizations to promote and implement Esri's geospatial technology solutions, providing strategic account management, and delivering expertise to help clients optimize their use of GIS for their missions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and develop location strategies for large, complex organizations.
  • Identify new opportunities and deepen existing relationships within high-level accounts.
  • Present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate industry knowledge and GIS relevance.
  • Identify key stakeholders and understand organizational decision-making and budgeting processes.
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology to large government organizations and support visual storytelling.
  • Execute account management and sales processes to meet revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop account strategies and share knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • Experience managing the sales cycle, creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with large customers.
  • Possess financial and business acumen to build compelling account growth strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Large City government operations and new technology trends, with the ability to translate this into complex solutions for customers.
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and Large City government operations as they relate to one another.
  • Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
