Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising clients on complex business challenges using Esri's GIS technology, developing innovative solutions, and demonstrating the value of GIS across various industries such as natural resources, energy, and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and support sales strategies by presenting and demonstrating Esri software and solutions.
- Become a subject matter expert in Natural Resources industries and ArcGIS technology, and communicate technical information confidently to customers.
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges and demonstrate business value.
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support the deployment, use, and administration of Esri technology by providing best practices and troubleshooting guidance.
Requirements
- Three years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- One year of experience in various industries
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
