Job Description
A Senior Tax Associate at Aprio will work with middle to large-sized clients, providing tax services, helping clients maximize opportunities, and contributing to a dynamic, growth-oriented team within a nationally ranked CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with tax planning and compliance for middle to large-sized tax entities
- Prepare and review tax returns and related documentation
- Provide tax advisory services to optimize client opportunities and ensure compliance
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients to understand their tax needs
- Support the team in tax research and staying updated on tax regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, or consulting, preferably with middle to large-sized tax clients.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate tax returns and related documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to obtain or currently hold a CPA license or be actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Physical ability to perform work that may include sitting for extended periods and working at a computer.
