Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising customers on complex spatial analysis solutions using Esri technology, particularly in water-related industries, and supporting sales, demonstrations, and technical consulting to demonstrate the value of GIS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and demonstrate the value of Esri technology.
- Build relationships and support sales strategies through presentations and demonstrations.
- Become a subject matter expert in water, wastewater, stormwater industries, and ArcGIS technology.
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that address customer challenges and align with their business needs.
- Present technical solutions and best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences at conferences and trade shows.
Requirements
- Two years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- One year of experience working in or supporting the water, wastewater, and stormwater industry
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
