Job Description

The AEC Industry Solutions Specialist leverages construction industry experience to promote GIS technology's role in transforming project design, construction, and operations, by creating content, engaging with industry professionals, and supporting digital construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Esri's construction-focused industry strategy by connecting field workflows with design, asset management, and operations.
  • Develop and publish construction-centered content demonstrating GIS impact in project coordination, scheduling, site logistics, safety, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to capture and communicate customer success stories highlighting measurable outcomes.
  • Support Esri's presence at construction and infrastructure events through organizing sessions, presentations, and networking opportunities.
  • Build and nurture the AEC community via online platforms, partner collaborations, and user groups focused on construction innovation.
  • Provide insights on construction market trends, digital delivery standards, and emerging technologies like digital twins and geospatial analytics.
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns that showcase ROI for construction professionals and align with Esri’s growth goals.
  • Advocate internally for the construction industry by sharing insights on jobsite realities, project challenges, and data needs.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in the construction or AEC industry, ideally with roles in project management, digital delivery, VDC BIM, field operations, or technology implementation.
  • Proven understanding of construction project workflows, including preconstruction, design coordination, logistics planning, progress tracking, and asset turnover.
  • Working knowledge of how GIS integrates with CAD, BIM, and field applications to support digital construction and infrastructure delivery.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value for construction audiences.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated creativity, problem-solving ability, and passion for innovation in construction technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, GIS, or a related discipline.

Compensation/salary range: $87,360 - $139,360 USD
Work schedule: Twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year
