Job Description

This role involves managing and developing customer relationships in the infrastructure sector by leveraging GIS technology, identifying growth opportunities, and providing solutions to optimize organizational operations across industries such as electric, gas, telecom, and rail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to identify their needs and develop location strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and maintain a pipeline for existing customers.
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge and the relevance of GIS technology to customer organizations.
  • Understand customer business drivers, budgeting, and acquisition processes to tailor solutions.
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology through solution selling and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and execute account strategies.
  • Conduct research and professional development to stay informed on industry trends and customer needs.
  • Execute account management and sales processes to achieve growth and revenue targets.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
  • Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GIS and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
  • Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, surveying, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
