Job Description
This role involves leveraging geospatial technology and industry knowledge to build relationships, develop strategies, and drive sales within local government organizations, supporting their mission through GIS solutions and account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers
- Understand customer needs, industry knowledge, and key stakeholders
- Use solution selling to address customer challenges and demonstrate the value of Esri technology
- Execute account management and sales processes to meet sales targets
- Collaborate with team members to define and implement account strategies
- Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars to promote Esri solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the local government industry and new technology trends, with the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Ability to build relationships, prospect, develop, and implement location strategies for organizations.
- Ability to maintain a healthy pipeline of business growth opportunities for new and existing customers.
- Ability to leverage social media and other avenues to build a professional network.
- Ability to participate and present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
- Ability to clearly articulate the strength and value of Esri technology as it relates to the local government industry.
- Ability to consistently conduct research and pursue professional development to anticipate customer needs and trends.
- Ability to successfully execute the account management and sales processes for all opportunities.
- Ability to use whiteboard sessions and other techniques to support visual storytelling and propose solutions that meet customer needs.
- Ability to collaborate with teams across Esri to define and execute account strategies.
- Motivated, resourceful, and proactive in resolving issues.

Base salary range of $72,800 to $131,040 USD
