Job Description
This role involves leveraging geospatial technology and industry knowledge to build relationships, develop strategies, and provide solutions for State and Local Government clients, with a focus on expanding the adoption of Esri's GIS solutions through sales, consulting, and account management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers
- Leverage social media and other channels to expand professional network
- Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars to promote solutions
- Understand customer needs, industry relevance, and key stakeholders
- Identify customer business challenges and demonstrate the value of Esri technology
- Conduct research and pursue professional development to stay informed on industry trends
- Execute account management and sales processes to meet sales targets
- Use visual storytelling techniques to propose tailored GIS solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement account strategies
- Resolve issues proactively and take initiative in sales and customer engagement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience related to State and Local government industry.
- Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of State and Local government industry and new technology trends, with the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).

Base salary range of $93,600 to $176,800 USD
