Job Description

The Business Development Lead and Program Manager at ERG is responsible for driving Navy-related business growth, leading all phases of business development, and providing program management leadership, including client engagement, proposal development, and contract oversight, primarily within a fast-paced, collaborative environment near Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in all phases of business development, including client and partner engagement, proposal strategy, planning, and development.
  • Drive Navy-related business growth and identify opportunities with other federal and non-federal clients.
  • Collaborate with leadership, technical experts, and external partners on business development efforts.
  • Serve as a Program Manager on contracts, overseeing client engagement and ongoing program management as needed.

Requirements

  • The qualified individual must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate must be located within driving distance of the Washington, DC metropolitan area to attend frequent at least weekly on-site client and team meetings.
  • The candidate must have experience in leading and actively participating in all phases of business development, including client and partner engagement, proposal strategy and planning, and proposal development.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work closely with leadership, technical experts, and external partners on business development efforts.
  • The candidate must have experience or ability to serve as a Program Manager on contracts, including client engagement and ongoing program oversight as needed.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in business development, program management, or related fields.
  • The candidate must have a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as engineering, science, economics, public health, informational technology, or communications.
  • The candidate must have experience working on Navy-related business opportunities, with initial focus on existing Navy opportunities.
  • The candidate must have the ability and willingness to support interaction and collaboration with ERG personnel in various locations, including Arlington, VA, and Indian Head, MD.
  • The candidate must be able to attend frequent meetings and work in a full-time capacity, with flexibility to adapt to evolving organizational needs.
  • The candidate must be able to meet all applicable requirements for employment, including compliance with EEOC regulations and ERG's employment policies.
