Job Description
The Ordnance Technician supports hazardous waste disposal and chemical processing activities at a federal facility, working closely with various personnel to ensure safe, timely, and budget-conscious project completion in explosive and chemical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support explosive and chemical processing activities in hazardous waste disposal areas
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure project safety, schedule, and budget adherence
- Perform tasks related to decontamination and demolition of hazardous materials
Requirements
- The qualified individual must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Support of Department of Defense (DoD) clients working on-site at a federal facility site in Indian Head, Maryland.
- Work in a variety of explosive and chemical processing areas supporting the Decontamination and Demolition Branch in tasks associated with hazardous waste disposal.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
