Job Description
The role involves managing and scaling a platform for utility program management and virtual power plant integration, focusing on developing features that enhance energy resource aggregation, data pipelines, and stakeholder collaboration to support a clean, distributed energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Uncover insights from user research, analytics, market research, and cross-functional input to enhance the C I platform for utility program management and aggregator integration.
- Define, prioritize, build, document, and iterate on new product features based on hypotheses and validation.
- Lead the product roadmap for C I VPP functionality, prioritizing features for different partners and customer journey stages.
- Drive the product strategy for partner integration, ensuring platform compatibility with a diverse DER ecosystem including CSPs, OEMs, REPs, and installers.
- Improve platform scalability through evolving data pipelines, dashboards, and testing practices.
- Develop product features that improve the explanation of results to aggregators and clients.
- Balance long-term strategic initiatives with short-term improvements to optimize learning speed and impact.
Requirements
- 5 years of software product management experience, including experience building Virtual Power Plant or energy management solutions, with a proven ability to break down complex problems into incremental product solutions and a track record of delivering demonstrable business impact.
- Deep data literacy, including understanding of databases, comfort engaging in design decisions, and data analysis skills such as writing SQL queries, with familiarity with tools like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and BI tools like Tableau and Sigma.
- Demonstrated experience aligning and influencing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, and a proactive communication style.
- Ability to think strategically and make tough prioritization decisions.
- Analytical abilities to frame the impact of work and focus on commercial client outcomes.
- Thoughtful use of AI to accelerate efforts, balanced with attention to detail and ownership of work, including providing a specific example in the cover letter.
- A growth mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
- Passion for sustainability, clean energy, and driving positive environmental impact.
