Job Description
The Senior Manager of Sales Engineering at EnergyHub leads a team responsible for designing and implementing scalable energy platform solutions for utility clients, working at the intersection of client needs, product development, and market demands to support a clean, distributed energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client discovery, conduct workshops, and document requirements to develop scalable energy solutions.
- Facilitate solution development from discovery to final contract language.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and cross-functional leaders.
- Develop and execute team development plans to evolve the Sales Engineering team.
- Guide tools, processes, and systems for documenting and conveying requirements to stakeholders.
- Create business cases advocating for new solutions based on market needs.
Requirements
- Experience managing and developing high performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable, interoperable energy platform solutions for the electric utility clients.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 8-12 years of experience in solutions sales engineering, software engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and stakeholders at all levels of organizations.
- Familiarity with systems integrations such as customer information systems, utility software platforms, and API integrations.
- Experience in the energy industry.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, demos, and industry events.
