Job Description
The Senior Manager of Solutions Engineering at EnergyHub leads a team responsible for developing and implementing scalable energy solutions for utilities, working at the intersection of client needs, product capabilities, and market demands to support a clean, distributed energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client discovery sessions, conduct workshops, and document requirements to develop scalable solutions.
- Facilitate the entire solution development process from discovery to final contract language.
- Build strong relationships with team members and cross-functional leaders in Sales, Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Operations.
- Develop and execute a team development plan to evolve Solutions Engineering capabilities.
- Identify skill gaps, invest in team knowledge, and allocate resources strategically.
- Develop systems, tools, and expertise to scale solution delivery and internal processes.
- Apply industry experience to guide requirements documentation, tools, and processes for internal stakeholders.
- Create business cases advocating for new solutions to meet market needs.
Requirements
- Experience managing and developing high performing teams
- Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years in solutions sales engineering, product management, technical consulting, or similar role
- Strong communication, project management skills, and demonstrated ability to influence leaders and stakeholders at all levels of organizations
- Familiarity with systems integrations e.g. customer information systems utility software platforms, API integrations
- Experience in the energy industry
- Ability to travel for client meetings, demos, and industry events
