Job Description
A Senior Client Success Manager at EnergyHub is responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing demand response programs, supporting market development efforts, and ensuring successful program implementation within the utility and energy sector, primarily focusing on California's grid services and renewable energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage demand response participation in CPUC CAISO DR programs, including revenue modeling, enrollment, market bidding, dispatch, and post-event reporting.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure customer enrollment and grid flexibility commitments are met.
- Oversee grant funding processes, including progress updates, compliance, and administrative tasks.
- Manage subcontractors to implement project scope and ensure timely delivery of administrative and technical deliverables.
- Support California market development through participation in regulatory groups, advocacy, and policy comments.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs, guiding program design, and supporting renewals and expansions.
- Communicate technical and data-driven insights effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Develop expertise in demand management, DERs, and program success drivers, and train client teams accordingly.
- Participate in market and utility program event dispatch to ensure flawless execution.
Requirements
- A BS or BA degree and at least 5-7 years of professional experience in consulting, technology services or client success.
- Experience working in or with renewable energy, utilities, and grid services or adjacent industries is required.
- Familiarity with the California utilities sector, including CAISO demand response programs such as DRAM and ELRP, is required.
- Experience with energy efficiency demand-side management program marketing and project implementation methods is required.
- Willing and available to be on a call several weeks per year for after-hours emergency client escalations.
- Candidates must be based in California.
