Job Description
The Associate Client Success Manager supports utility clients in launching and managing demand response programs, ensuring successful program implementation, maintaining client relationships, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve energy management goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to help clients achieve their goals.
- Coordinate and manage program launch tasks, including working with device partners, clients, and internal teams.
- Ensure timely execution of account activities in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and present client reports, analyze key results, and communicate technical and data-driven messages.
- Develop deep knowledge of demand management, distributed energy resources, and program success factors.
- Coordinate communication and logistics related to invoicing, reporting, and administrative tasks.
Requirements
- A BS or BA degree
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience in technology services or customer success with a strong preference for experience within a SaaS or enterprise software-related field
- Demonstrated success working directly with clients, preferably having interfaced with or managed the same clients over an extended period of time minimum 2 years
- Project management experience with the ability to multitask, hit deadlines, and think through risk and dependencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to describe complex and technical topics in an engaging and succinct manner
- Experience and passion for working with a team in a cross-functional, fast-paced work environment
- Experience managing multiple high-priority projects and the ability to proactively follow up on tasks and projects
- Experience working in or with renewable energy, utilities, grid services or adjacent industries, cleantech, or climate tech preferred
- Ability to build trust and foster outstanding client and partner relationships
- Good judgment in a business context
- Ability to analyze data, confidence with numbers and spreadsheets
- Ability to effectively communicate technical and data-driven messages to clients and stakeholders
- Ability to coordinate and manage communication and logistics around client and subcontractor invoicing processes and related reporting
- Willingness to be based in Los Angeles or California; candidates in western states UT, NV, WA, and OR will also be considered
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
- Strong business judgment and ability to exercise sound decision-making
