Job Description

The Senior Energy Efficiency Project Manager will oversee and manage energy efficiency programs focused on commercial lighting and residential heating and cooling, driving project delivery, client communication, and program development to promote energy savings and greenhouse gas reductions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall direction, quality control, and completion of program deliverables for energy efficiency incentive programs.
  • Develop and oversee multiple complex project budgets and tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Communicate program progress to management and clients.
  • Interact with clients, program participants, subcontractors, and external collaborators.
  • Track utility and energy efficiency market trends and industry changes.
  • Contribute to strategy development and new program design to enhance impact.
  • Support business development activities, including engaging utility partners and developing proposals.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, conference calls, and collaboration sessions.
  • Conduct program status meetings, escalate issues, and resolve problems proactively.
  • Manage interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient program delivery and scope fulfillment.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in an energy, engineering, or environmental related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience with at least 2 years of experience in project management including partnership management and program design development.
  • Proven success launching new programs and initiatives.
  • Experience managing energy efficiency incentive programs and supporting business development activities (highly desired).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, including building team morale and fostering collaboration.
  • Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk management and mitigation.
  • Experience supervising staff, mentoring to support junior staff growth, and delegating tasks.
  • Strong verbal communication, writing, data analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Strong client communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office, Office365, SharePoint, and OneNote.
  • Ability to work, drive, and thrive juggling many activities and communications.
  • Must be based in New England or willing to relocate to New England.
  • Willingness to conduct occasional business travel.
  • Successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.

Salary range: $92,000 - $125,000, with a target of $106,250 based on experience and qualifications
