Job Description
The Senior Project Manager at Energy Solutions leads complex energy efficiency programs across multiple states, managing teams, stakeholders, and budgets to achieve energy, water, and carbon savings while ensuring high-quality deliverables and fostering collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver energy savings programs on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project alignment, transparency, and satisfaction.
- Develop and oversee program budgets, tasks, and deliverables with minimal oversight.
- Communicate program progress to senior management and clients through presentations and reports.
- Coordinate with program participants, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.
- Track industry trends and market changes related to energy efficiency and utility programs.
- Support business development activities, including proposal development and client engagement.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, conference calls, and collaboration sessions.
- Manage interdisciplinary teams to operate efficiently and meet program scope.
- Identify risks, manage escalations, and proactively resolve issues to ensure program success.
Requirements
- Must be based in the Western states of the U.S., including the Pacific Northwest or Mountain West.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in energy, engineering, or environmental-related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including partnership management and program design development.
- Proven success managing energy efficiency programs and initiatives, including program launches.
- Experience supporting business development activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, build morale, and foster collaboration.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk management and mitigation.
- Experience supervising staff, mentoring junior team members, and delegating effectively.
- Strong verbal communication, writing, data analysis, and presentation skills.
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience managing multiple complex program budgets and tasks with minimal oversight.
- Ability to communicate and present program progress to Senior Management and clients.
- Experience interacting with clients, program participants, sub-contractors, and program stakeholders.
- Experience tracking utility and energy efficiency trends in heating, cooling, and lighting industries.
- Willingness to conduct occasional business travel.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools including Office365, SharePoint, and OneNote.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communications with agility and focus.
- Ability to develop and manage program deliverables with overall direction, quality control, and completion.
- Ability to build strong relationships across teams, identify gaps, and proactively manage risks and dependencies.
- Demonstrated understanding of energy efficiency principles, including midstream and program technologies such as HVAC, lighting, and foodservice systems, and their applications in utility programs.

- Successful track record of managing high-stakes programs and delivering results.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $92,000 to $125,000 annually, with a target compensation of $92,000 to $106,250 based on experience and qualifications
